Typically, the earlier a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence."

There is no point in creating a website that has lots of information and then not utilizing SEO options because nobody will be able to find it from a search engine. It would be like writing an article and hanging it in your own bedroom closet where nobody could read it.

Nobody can guarantee number one search results, but I do incorporate SEO into all of my website's free of charge. I have never had a client who was not satisfied with the results. Typically it takes 2-3 months to get good search engine placement. My personal goal is to be in the top 10 however, usually it is closer to the top five.

It is important to keep a website maintained and adding new information as it becomes available. A static website can slowly loose placing in a search engine.
