1. Do you purchase domain names and hosting plans?

No I don't. I prefer that you purchase your own domain names and hosting plans so you have ownership. I will inform you on which plan to purchase and provide any other info required to make an informed decision.

2. How quickly can my site be up and running?

Usually, I only work on 1-2 sites on any given time and put all my efforts into getting those sites up and running. The total time depends on various factors. If you can provide me with the uploading server information, and all content for your site including photos, your site can be running within 10 days. I usually work quicker than clients supply material.

3. How can I pay for my site?

Payment is 50% up front and 50% upon completion of the site. Currently I accept money orders or cashiers cheque. Arrangements could be made via paypal.

4. Is the web design quoted price the price I will pay for my site?

The total cost is usually within 15% of the quoted price. This can be due to extra photo purchases, extra pages as desired from the client or numerous other factors. You are always in full control and you are always contacted and informed about extra costs.

5. Do you provide Search Engine Optimization Service?

I build sites so they are 'google friendly'. I also submit your site to various search engines. It usually takes 4-12 weeks before your site will appear in search engines. Exactly where your site ends up in relation to others is beyond my control but I try to ensure that you get the highest rating possible.

6. What software do you use?

I use a variety of software depending on the website needs. I use:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Fireworks
  • Acrobat Professional
  • Adobe Lifecycle
  • Adobe Dreamweaver - coding and uploading to web server.

7. Can I update and manage my site after you are finished with it?

Yes. If you are interested in maintaining your site, arrangements could be made. You will need to purchase Adobe Dreamweaver to maintain your site and the cost from Amazon.ca is around $500.00.
